Data Warehouse Upgrade 29 March 2008 & 30 March 2008

Our data warehouse will be updating the Cold Fusion engine over the weekend.
During this time system availability may be limited and some functions may be
temporarily out of service.
Firefox now working with Client Resource center!!
(21 Nov 2007)
Support for Firefox (and most non-IE browsers) has now been added to the client resource center.
It did require a sizable edit of most web pages.
Please report any odd issues you find.
Mac based clients reported (and verified) Firefox browser not compatible
with Client Resource pages
We suggest Opera browser for non-Internet Explorer users.

Clicking download and nothing happens
If you had aborted a prior download during your session, you may find that nothing
will download. If you suspect this, logout of the web and close that browser
window. It may give an error message about the prior operation not completing,
say ok to close the browser.
This will clear the browser error preventing downloads.
Then logon as normal. (29 Dec 2006)
Web Time Sheet - New range checks during time sheet approval
(25 August 2005)
To prevent accidentally creating checks with wrong values, new range checks are
being applied when you approve a time sheet.
If the values for total hours or total amounts seem suspect you will have to
click a checkbox to confirm you have reviewed the time sheet and the
suspect values are indeed correct.
Usually the excessive value is due
to entering an amount where an hours value was expected.
The other is when
salaried people are taking vacation, sick, or other hours.
If you have questions while entering your time sheet, just call your paytech
and they will help you make the correct entries.
Or if it is after hours, just use the notes feature of the time sheet to write
your questions.
Web Time Sheet - Department and Job Cost users

Some minor changes have been made to the logic in the timecard screen.
The improved logic should let you move through data entry with simpler keystrokes
and less mouse movements when entering and selecting department or job codes.
The search feature (entry box) is now looking anywhere in the codes rather than
just matching the first n characters.
HR Manual now online
This is the same forms and pages as in the HR manual each client receives when
they become a client. But by being online you get the latest updates available
immediately. The content is a mix of PDF, MS-Word, and MS-Excel files. This is available in the Client
Resource Center,
on the Client Information page, next to the Blank Employee Forms
button.
HR Manual now has Work Site Compliance Posters
Like the 2007 New York Minimum wage poster showing the new $6.00 minimum wage
rate.
Some file downloads generate a blank page
(24 May 2004) It has been found that some of the downloads are not working correctly.
The symptom is being prompted with a warning windows about 'secure and non-secure' data
being displayed.
This is generally followed with a blank page in the browser regardless of saying yes or no.
It is currently being researched but is suspected as being caused by updates of the Microsoft
browser and updates to our web server causing a conflict.
As a workaround, all the pages effected are being changed to force a download to
local disk before displaying the file.
This will cause a copy of the file to be saved on your system (usually the desktop).
That will also cause a prompt to 'over-write' the old file if you download a new file.
Otherwise you may delete the file after viewing or printing the file.
The major downloads have been patched at this time.
If you find any files giving the 'secure and non-secure' popup, please let us know.

- What feature you were trying to use.
- Any of the error message.
